City Paper Review:
Given massage therapy's proximity to certain
ads in certain alt-weeklies, it's understandable that the profession
sometimes gets a bad rap. Ruth Anne Wood and her earnest cast (including
her husband, co-workers and a personal client) set the record straight in
an intimate setting. Proclaimed as a work in progress, the day-in-the-life
vignettes explore the art, science and often hilarity of massage — the
gropey male client and the biddy who passes gas on the table were
particularly memorable. Flaws and all, this show succeeds if for no other
reason than the ensemble's obvious passion for the topic. Bonus goodie:
free massages!
